Sommer 2017. Wir machen uns spontan auf in den Urlaub nach Mallorca. Ein Klassiker wenn man so will. Allerdings haben wir es auf den ruhigeren Norden abgesehen, Port Pollença genauer gesagt. Das kleine Hafenstädtchen hat alles, was man braucht, ist eine gute Autostunde von Palma bzw. vom Flughafen entfernt und war der richtige Ausgangsort für unsere Vorhaben.
Übernachtet haben wir im Hostal Borras direkt im Ortskern. Unser Zimmer hatte alles, was man braucht. Für uns ist fast nur die Sauberkeit wichtig und die war voll in Ordnung. Wir hatten außerdem einen kleinen Balkon zum Markplatz raus. Auf dem Platz war eigentlich bis spät in die Nacht immer was los, gestört hat uns das aber nicht. Wenn man in Spanien Urlaub macht, kann man nicht erwarten, dass um 22 Uhr Bettruhe ist. Die Leute vom Hostal waren alle überaus nett und hilfsbereit, haben uns sogar an einem Tag mit einem Sonnenschirm ausgeholfen. Auch unten im eigenen Restaurant kann man richtig gut essen. Wer also eine günstige, aber vernünftige Unterkunft mit netten Leuten sucht, dem können wir das Hostal absolut empfehlen.

Geplant war ein ruhiger Urlaub. Ein bisschen am Strand. Ein bisschen die Gegend erkunden. Und natürlich Fotos machen.
Dafür hatte ich meine kleine Fuji XE-1 im Handgepäck. Meine große Canon musste zu Hause bleiben. Mit der Fuji liebe ich es, das Fotografieren ein wenig zu endschleunigen und mit dem manuellen Samyang 21 mm 1.4* macht das fokussieren auch noch Spaß. Mit einem Polfilter dazu genau die richtige Ausrüstung für ein paar ruhige Urlaubstage.
Für die knappe Woche Strandurlaub haben wir uns ein kleines Mietauto genommen, um mobil zu sein. Das erste Ziel am nächsten Tag war “Sa Calobra” bzw. viel mehr die Straße dorthin. Früh morgens und mit wenig Verkehr macht es richtig Spass diese Serpentinen zum Meer zu fahren, fast immer das Wasser im Blick. Auf Motorräder und v.a. Rennradfahrer muss man um neun Uhr in der Früh noch nicht achten und hat freie Fahrt mit perfektem Licht.

Unten am Parkplatz angekommen erwartet einen eine wunderschöne Bucht mit herrlich türkisem Wasser. Geht man ein paar Schritte weiter entlang am Wasser, gelangt man zu einer anderen kleinen Bucht mit Kiesstrand. Hier sollte man auf jeden Fall einen Sonnenschirm oder irgendetwas schattenspendendes dabei haben, da ansonsten der Sonnenbrand vorprogrammiert ist. Wenn man zu spät kommt, ist es außerdem ziemlich voll.

Am selben Tag ging es noch bis an die nördliche Spitze der Insel, Cap Formentor, um dort den Sonnenuntergang mitzunehmen. Auch diese Straße ist nicht weniger interessant und schön zu fahren. Auf dem Weg zum Leuchtturm am Ende der Insel haben wir eine kurze Pause an einem der vielen “miradors” eingelegt. Dass uns diese wunderschöne Natur so beeindruckt, hatten wir nicht erwartet.

Nach ein paar anderen Ausflugszielen und Tagen am Strand sind wir an die andere Seite der Insel zur “cala de moro” ganz im Süden und zum Abschluss an den bekannten Strand “es trenc” gefahren. Karibisches Wasser und eine entspannende Ruhe, wie sie nicht besser hätte sein können. Für diese Strände empfiehlt sich auf jeden Fall eine wasserfeste Kamera oder ein Gehäuse. In unserem Fall war es eine einfache GoPro* für Selfies im Wasser und co.

Nach einer knappen Woche Mallorca sind wir begeistert von der traumhaften Landschaft und den gastfreundlichen Leuten, die wir dort getroffen haben. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder!
